I usually write about things after I’ve done them. I’m so looking forward to the March 31 G. Love and Special Sauce concert at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort I must write about it now. Also because I want you to come. And then spend the night at Four Seasons Resort Jackson Hole. If you’ve got a Wyoming or Idaho driver’s license, you can take advantage of a locals’ special Four Seasons has going on from March 25–April 8: $199 for a standard room (plus taxes and fees, natch).
How often can you stay at a Four Seasons, enjoying the resort’s amazingly polite and intuitive service and amenities for $199? FYI, at the Jackson Hole property, amenities include in-room espresso machines and switch-started fireplaces. And the pool! It’s outdoor overlooking the beginner ski slopes and Bridger Gondola and has no fewer than three hot tubs. An attendant brings you warm towels as needed.
But back to G. Love. I once paid upwards of $40 to see him. That was back in college was $40 was my entertainment budget for a month. The Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is bringing him here and charging listeners nothing. The outdoor concert is part of the 7th Annual Mountain Festival. The festival goes the weekend and includes the annual multi-sport Pole, Pedal, Paddle race, fireworks, the Coombs Classic ski event, and Music Under the Tram (G. Love isn’t the weekend’s only concert).
